ScreenGuard is made out of high tensile, 316 marine-graded stainless steel. It's highly corrosion-resistant and far better than other grades of stainless steel, including 304.


The 316 marine-quality stainless steel mesh has been specially coated with a UV protective coating that makes it look pristine and lasts for years.


Only black ScreenGuard mesh is available. 


However, the ScreenGuard window and door frames can be powder coated in a range of Interpon and Dulux powder coat colours.


The ScreenGuard warranty covers 10 years (stainless steel mesh) from the date the product was installed. This guarantee applies to the original buyer only, as long as the product care and maintenance guidelines have always been followed during that time. When manufactured in line with the ScreenGuard fabricator instructions, ScreenGuard ensures that its product will be free from flaws in materials and manufacturing. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuses, accidents, fires, acts of god, alterations to the original products in any way, or anything else out of our control. 


A NATA-registered independent testing laboratory conducts all testing in accordance with rigid Australian requirements.


To remove impurities brought on by pollution, industry, salt, and environmental factors, your ScreenGuard Security Screen System will need routine care & maintenance. Please follow the cleaning instructions below for the recommended way to clean your ScreenGuard Security Screen System using Powawash, a biodegradable detergent. Alternatively, if no Powawash is available - it is recommended to use a soft-bristled brush with warm water and a neutral detergent. Using harsh detergents or abrasive cleaners is not recommended because they can scratch or damage surfaces. The following information indicates the suggested frequency of maintenance:


MILD ENVIRONMENT (15KMS FROM COASTAL/RURAL/SUBURBAN AREAS) - EVERY 6 MONTHS


MODERATE ENVIRONMENT (10KM FROM COASTAL/RURAL/SUBURBAN AREAS) EVERY 3 MONTHS


SEVERE/COASTAL ENVIRONMENT (5KM FROM COASTAL/RURAL/SUBURBAN AREAS) EVERY 2 WEEKS


You can clean your ScreenGuard Windows & Doors using ScreenGuard Powawash, a non-toxic, biodegradable detergent. To clean your screens, simply use a soft-bristled brush and a solution of 3 caps (25ml) per litre of water, followed by a water rinse.


ScreenGuard is manufactured using T6 extruded aluminium - T6 aluminium alloy, referring to the hardness of the aluminium.


It's an excellent type of aluminium, which has a high level of quality and is heat treatable.


Yes, ScreenGuard is bushfire rated and meets the Australian Standards AS3959-2009 - Construction of Buildings in Bush Fire Prone Areas.


ScreenGuard also helps protect your property from floating ember hazards and reduces the heating effect of radiant heat flux.
